Business Challenge
Our client works with large retailers in the music industry like Guitar Center. One of their major challenges is inventory management especially when their inventory works on a cross-dock system and it’s hard to determine when a delivery is made to the Distributors and Retailers. The process begins with receiving receipts and acknowledgments in Oracle EBS, followed by taking appropriate actions and managing backlogs and inventory, which impacts production and supply.
The Solution
We were tasked with this challenge and within 5 months, we implemented Receiving/ Advise/ Acceptance certificates (EDI 861), Advance Shipment Notice (EDIT 856), and Purchase Orders (EDI 850) to automate inventory management in Oracle EBS.
